What do I have to do upfront at the start of my branding photography package?
Each photography package includes a brand questionnaire and a collaborative Pinterest board, which must be completed by you at least a week before your photo session.
What do I need to do before the photo session?
This will depend on what we have discussed in our consultation. I want your session to be easy and stress-free for you so I’ll let you know what to bring and any prep needed. If we’re focusing on casual branding imagery it could mean gathering props to use and cleaning up the place we’re going to photograph in. If it’s products then you’ll need to let me know what you would like photographed so that I can bring the right backdrops and equipment.
Can I split my time into two sessions?
I usually prefer not to as you’d be surprised how fast smaller time slots can go by! However, if you have a specific idea in mind then I’m sure we can make arrangements. If you need ongoing brand photography then check out my photography subscription packages.
Where will the photo session take place?
Where would you like? I always recommend shooting in the place you work to create authentic brand images. This also fits if you work from home! We can also find other locations if you would rather - London has lovely parks.
Do you shoot outside of London?
I can do yes! This may incur a travel charge on top of your monthly amount, but I will let you know far in advance.
What kind of photography can I get?
During our consultation and throughout the process we will discuss what kind of photography best suits your brand identity. This could be headshots, product images or casual business photographs that show your company’s day-to-day. Most likely, we will aim to capture a range of images that capture your story. Each business is different, so each shoot is tailored and edited to your unique style and needs.
How many photos will I get?
This is completely up to you and we will discuss your needs in our brand consultations for the session. It may be you need less photos but much more styling, which can take time and planning. At a minimum, I aim to deliver 30 edited final photos to you. However, we could also create a library of up to 150 images for you to use across your website, in print and on social media.
How long after the session will I receive my photos?
You will receive your final edits 10 days after the session. I can make a rush order but this will have to be discussed in advance and may incur extra charges.
How will I receive my photos?
When your files are ready you will receive a link via your email to your private online gallery. There, you will be able to browse the images and download files in both high-resolution and optimised for web use.
What format will the photos be?
All final images are exported as JPGs.
Are the files editable?
All images are final and cannot be edited or altered by you or a third party, with the exception of text overlay and use in social media templates. More information can be found in the terms and conditions we will discuss in our consultations.
How do I pay for my package?
Every brand package is billed in two pieces: 50% upfront upon signing your T&Cs, and 50% upon your project’s completion. This is due before your final images are delivered.
What platforms can I use the photos for?
Any you like! After we’ve had our initial consultation and your brand questionnaire has been filled out, I’ll know where you intend to post your mainly photos and they will be resized for that platform.
Do I own my images?
You will have exclusive commercial rights to your photos. This means you have unlimited usage both online and in print. However, the copyright still remains with me, the photographer. I will only use your photos for self promotion, this could be on my website, in brochures or my social media platforms. More information will be in the terms and conditions we will discuss at the beginning of your subscription.
Do I need to credit you each time I use a photo?
No you don’t. I understand that on your website this can look out of place and you won’t want to write it on every social media post. However, my business thrives on word of mouth referrals, so please spread the word if you love the service!
What programs do you use to edit your photos?
I use the Adobe Suite; specifically Photoshop and Lightroom to edit your photos. I also use Adobe XD and Indesign to create social media templates and documents, like you prep and style guides.
